About Poetry
My poetry explores themes in Jungian and Object Relational therapy, using Jungian imagery to express a feeling and Object Relational theory to engage ideas on cycles of trauma. My degree in psychology and back ground in social work has directly impacted the way in which I perceive the world around me. I’ve segmented my poetry into three themes. My Truth Laid Bare is storytelling around what polyamory looks and feels like in action. In it I try to show what compersion looks and feels like, how it shows up in daily life and big life changes. This section is far more subjective as I am trying to show a true experience of how modern day polyamory is expressing itself. My section called Stardust is spiritual and objective, focused on themes of existentialism and environmental distress. I work to voice the fears we all experience as our environment is impacted by modern day business. The last section And So Too Are We is more a personal philosophy and opening of different ways of envisioning the world around you.
